Smoky quartz or Smokey quartz, is also known as Cairngorm or Cairngormstone and is a transparent brown to black variety of quartz and sometimes used for unusual faceted cuts. As a healing stone, Smoky Quartz is supposed to aid the proper functioning of the adrenals, kidneys and the pancreas and blocks negativity and alleviate depression.
