Paua Shell

Paua Shell is only found in the sea around New Zealand from a marine mollusk that consumes seaweed and lives on rocks along the shore. Paua Shell is the most vibrantly colored of all abalone shells, and no other shell exists in the world with such vibrant hues in greens, blues, pinks and purples, sometimes with gold or crimson tones. The paua shell colour also changes when looked at from various angles, as it has a stunning iridescence. Paua shell is said to stimulate intuition and imagination, increase one’s ability to be emotionally expressive and cooperative. It is considered an emotional healing stone as it soothes and encourages calmness while allowing one to be unique and individual.
