Catherine Popesco
The Catherine Popesco jewellery collection is based on traditional French jewelry making, which was a slow, precise and skilled process. The designs in this current collection are based on original pieces that were produced in Parisian jewellery workshops over two hundred years ago. The individual jewellery pieces shown here are actually taken from the original jewellery moulds which were first created by jewellery designers between the period of 1900 to 1930 - a significant jewellery production period for France and the world. Catherine Popesco jewellery is a celebration of fine work - the words nostalgia, vintage and fascinating come to mind. Catherine Popesco's jewelry is produced from "old silver," which is the unusual French method of laying silver over copper; each piece is then finished by hand as craftwoman lay them with crystals and stained glass inlays or paint them with jewel coloured enamels. To put it simply, a piece of Catherine Popesco jewellery, is a piece of art and history in itself. This collection is coming soon to the Amulet Jewellery Website.
